Temples and Palaces
An essential part of any visit to Bangkok is to see some of the most famous temples and palaces near the city center.
I visited the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Grand Palace, and other well-known places in the area, such as the Reclining Buddha, and along the way, I bought some souvenirs. I paid a total of around 22€ for 2 tickets and almost 30€ for souvenirs (4 magnets and 3 metal figurines of elephants/Buddha).
Although everything opens at 8:30AM, when I arrived, every place was already full of tourists, and there were often mini groups led by Thai guides. It was very charming to hear Thais speaking, for example, French, German, or some other European language while explaining the history of these places.
For everything else, let the pictures speak for themselves:
On the way back, I passed through Chinatown, through streets I hadn't walked through last time, and now, during the day, there was so much to buy that my head started to hurt from the overwhelming choice. Considering the length of the main street (a little over 1km) and a few parallel ones, plus all the mini streets connecting these main ones, it is clear why this is the largest and most vibrant Chinatown in the world, worth visiting!
