Relaxing, ready for Chiang Mai!
I haven't written anything since December 10th, but I've been enjoying Bangkok all the time. I visited places I've already been to, but also some new ones.
I walked through Lumpini Park at night several times, and each time it was extremely lively with thousands of people and hundreds of food stalls and other various things and activities. I also visited the well-known Chinatown a few times and enjoyed the food and exotic fruits, and finally tried a scorpion! Yesterday, I took a cruise on the main river Chao Phraya with a buffet of about 20 types of dishes and just as many types of desserts and exotic fruits, and of course, free beer and Thai cabaret (all for just 25€!). Other than that I've been strolling around the city, enjoying the warm weather and the Christmas decorations.
I am slowly getting ready for Chiang Mai where I will be for a little less than a month. Next week is also the last working week of this year, so from December 28th, I am free for the next few weeks to enjoy the northern part of Thailand without worrying about work.
I haven't left Bangkok yet, and I already miss it... This will be a tough farewell, but I believe there will be many opportunities to return!
