First stop - Vienna

Very sleep-deprived, I woke up at 4AM to get ready for the trip and catch the flight to Vienna at 11:05. I took a taxi to the train station from where I headed to Belgrade. After an hour's drive, I took a bus that goes directly from the central train station to Nikola Tesla Airport. At the airport, I waited for a short period before the first check-in counters opened, but I immediately received tickets for both Vienna and Bangkok (flights via Austrian Airlines).

Passport and tickets

Just before boarding, a slightly stressful situation occurred: apparently, the plane was "too heavy to take off," so they asked over the intercom for a few passengers to voluntarily take the next available flight, with a $150 voucher and some other minor benefits. I didn't fully follow the situation, but since we took off on time, I assume someone had to do it. Thank you!

View from the plane

I am currently typing this from Vienna, sitting at one of the hundreds of gates - mostly empty - and drinking the most expensive bottle of water in my life. I "smuggled" 180g of peanuts and a Snickers bar from Serbia, so at least I won't be hungry, but I am also looking forward to the airplane food!
