Park in honor of the King's 72nd birthday
Yesterday, I spent the day working and resting. I went down for the first time to the 5th floor where the gym, reading room, workspace, and pool are located, but I only used the workspace and gym this time.
Today, I got up early in the morning and around 8AM went to visit a park about 30 minutes' walk from the apartment. Even though it was 8 in the morning, it was very warm, so I arrived at the park all soaked in sweat. On the way, I saw a food stall near the apartment, so the plan was to pick up some grilled meat to go... The park itself was active and fortunately in deep shade, and the workers maintaining the park were watering it and removing leaves and small branches. Also, the park is right next to the main river of Thailand, the Chao Phraya, and overlooks the King Rama IX Bridge.
I made just one lap around the park, which is not large in itself, and towards the end, I sat on a bench for a short break before heading back. On the way back, I stopped by the mentioned food stall and picked up a whole small grilled chicken (a little over 4€). Along with it, I got 2 small bags of sweet and spicy sauce, and while everything was still warm, I returned to the apartment to have lunch. There was enough meat to eat twice, and everything was excellent - I believe I will get this often, as a great source of protein.
I spent the rest of the day working and resting a bit more, still under the influence of jet lag.
A little before midnight, I got hungry and went to buy some snacks and something sweet from the 7-Eleven, which is open 24 hours. All of that and one small meal cost only 4.5€.
